TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. About Us

Kinship Customs (“we”, “our”, “us”) designs and manufactures custom joinery, furniture, and metal spinning products, including unlacquered brass and copper tapware and shower roses. All products are produced in Australia and supplied subject to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Made-to-Order & Handcrafted Products

Most Kinship Customs products are made to order and handcrafted. Variations in colour, grain, tone, texture, and finish are inherent to the materials and processes used and do not constitute defects. Brass and copper products are supplied unlacquered and will naturally patinate over time.

3. Orders & Acceptance

Orders are accepted once payment or agreed deposit is received and written confirmation is issued. Kinship Customs reserves the right to decline or cancel orders where specifications are unclear, payment is not received, or supply constraints arise.

4. Pricing & Payments

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless stated otherwise. Quotes are valid for the stated period. Prices may change without notice. Variations to approved scopes may incur additional costs.

5. Lead Times

All lead times are estimates only. Kinship Customs is not liable for delays caused by material availability, suppliers, or factors outside our reasonable control.

6. Cancellations & Changes

Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, orders cannot be cancelled once production has commenced. Changes after approval may not be possible and may incur additional costs.

7. Shipping & Delivery

Delivery times are estimates only. Risk passes to the customer upon dispatch. Any damage must be reported within 48 hours of receipt. Kinship Customs is not responsible for delays or damage caused by third-party couriers.

8. Installation

Installation must be carried out by a licensed and qualified tradesperson. Kinship Customs is not responsible for installation errors or compatibility issues. Improper installation voids warranty claims.

9. Warranty

Warranty terms are outlined in the Kinship Customs Warranty Policy. A 12-month warranty applies to manufacturing defects only. Natural patina, wear, misuse, incorrect installation, or harsh cleaning products are not covered.

10. Returns & Exchanges

Returns and exchanges are governed by the Returns & Exchanges Policy. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted for made-to-order products. Faulty items will be repaired or replaced in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

11. Care & Maintenance

Customers must follow the Care & Maintenance Guide provided. Failure to do so may void warranty claims.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Kinship Customs’ liability is limited to repair or replacement of the supplied product. Indirect or consequential losses are excluded.

13. Intellectual Property

All designs, drawings, images, and content remain the intellectual property of Kinship Customs unless otherwise agreed in writing.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

15. Updates

Kinship Customs may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version published at the time of purchase applies.
